A little girl to a woman
Seeking to feel wanted and loved.
Thinking being loved by someone,
Is all she ever needed.

But trauma accumulates further down.
Breaking free from the furnace
Allowing the anxiety to win
Becoming ill from the depression
As the stress is increasing.

Losing control mentally and emotionally
She then finds control.
Went from wanting to be loved.
To loving herself.

Searching in the wrong places
To saying positive affirmations.
Loving the sight of who I’m becoming.
Imperfections and all

A kernel to rejoice.
Releasing all trauma
Finding all the hidden treasure
I learned and I grew.

It’s now self-explanatory.
I know my worth.
I am woman.
A phenomenal woman with pure passion
Not giving up because of the pain

But to continue to learn
To smile, love, live
To inspire myself and others
Walk with confidence.

Because you can’t change the past
But through the traumatic growth
You can find a phenomenal woman.
